Travelling by bicycle

The region is interspersed with many cycle paths, which are not only of regional but also cross-border importance. This first of these is cross-border route no. 1, the so-called Prague Route leading from Vienna to Prague. The second important one is the Bohemia-Moravia Route no. 16. You will also not be disappointed if you set out on any of the regional routes. These are set at various levels of difficulty. They lead through picturesque locations where you can find cultural monuments, folk buildings, natural monuments and other points of interest. The following text shows some of the interesting routes on offer.

Betlém v Hlinsku (?the Nativity Scene in Hlinsko?), which is a folk architecture reservation dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The Studnice Hill provides a view of the Hamry Reservoir. You can visit the Antonín Slavíček Gallery in Kameničky. The Chrudimka River originates in the municipality of Chlumětín.
